Resumen

El osteoma craneal intrasinusal es un proceso benigno que en determinados casos puede complicarse con aparición de otras lesiones intracerebrales, lo que cambia radicalmente su pronóstico.

La asociación de osteoma con mococele, de osteoma con procesos infecciosos intracraneales, o de mucocele con invasión intracraneal con o sin sobreinfección, ha sido publicada en múltiples ocasiones. Sin embargo, hasta donde sabemos, la presentación conjunta de mucocele, osteoma y colección purulenta intraparenquimatosa cerebral ha sido presentada en una sola ocasión.

Presentamos un nuevo caso, con la peculiaridad de haber debutado con un episodio convulsivo, sin otra clínica neurológica acompañante.

Summary

Intrasinusal cranial osteoma is a benign process that can occasionally be associated with intracerebral lesions which radically changie its prognosis.

As far as we know, the association of sinus osteoma, mucocele and intracranial infection has been previously reported only once.

We report a new case, presenting with an epileptic seizure as the only nurological symptom.
