An exceptional case of intracranial mucocele associated to intrasinusal osteoma is presented.
We discuss the differential diagnosis according to the densities in the CT Scan, and we also make comments about the surgical therapy applied.
We choose a two-stage surgical procedure for the radical removal of the lesion: First, a frontal osteoplastic craniotomy, for resecting the mucocele, was performed, and it was at the same time preserved the sinus’ back wall. Afterwards, a frontoethmoidectomy allowed us the removal of the osteoma. A fenestrated silastic drainage tube left in place for five months concluded the therapeutic measures.
