Presentamos un caso de teratoma de la región pineal en un niño de 10 años. La resonancia magnética (RM) permitió establecer el diagnóstico de sospecha prequirúrgico y determinar con precisión la extensión tumoral. Se realizó exéresis subtotal de la tumoración utilizando un abordaje parieto-occipital interhemisférico.
A case of teratoma of the pineal region in a 10-year-old boy is reported. Magnetic resonance imaging allowed to stablish the diagnosis and accurately determine the extent of the tumor. Partial resection by parieto-occipital interhemispheric approach was performed.
