La SPECT cerebral con Tl-201 es una herramienta de utilidad en el diagnóstico de la naturaleza histológica de los procesos expansivos intracraneales. Presentamos un caso de linfoma cerebral primario cuyas características en la TC y RM eran compatibles con un meningioma. Sin embargo el estudio SPECT desestimó que se tratara de un proceso con benignidad histológica, orientando hacia el diagnóstico final de linfoma.
The 201T1 brain SPECT is a useful tool in the diagnosis of the hystologic nature of brain tumors. We present a case of primary cerebral lymphoma whose CT and MRI appearance was compatible with meningioma. However, the 201T1 brain SPECT performed in this patient raised doubts on the diagnosis of a benign process, guiding toward the final diagnosis of lymphoma.
