Abstract

The authors report the case of an adult man diagnosed of multiple and bilateral cerebral hydatidosis. Primary extracerebral source of infection was not found with any ancillary test done.

The presence of a progressive motor brachial deficit, led to perform an image study by CT and MRI, which showed some cysts that made us think of multiple and bilateral cerebral hydatidosis.

The diagnostic was confirmed by surgery (practiced in three steps) and pathological examination.

Key words:
Cerebral hydatid cyst
Cerebral Parasitic infection
