Presentamos un paciente de 53 años de edad al que se resecó completamente un meningioma parasagital derecho. Al cuarto día del postoperatorio se apreció una colección subgaleal que fue tratada con vendaje elástico compresivo, coincidiendo esta maniobra con la aparición a los pocos minutos de una hemiplejia contralateral que recuperó al retirar el vendaje. Se sugiere un mecanismo univalvular o unidireccional de LCR como causa de la hemiplejia.
We report a 53 year-old male who developed a recurrent left hemiplegia following removal of a large right parasaggital meningioma. The onset of the hemiplegia was coincident with the application of a head wrapping and recovered after removing the bandage. It is cIear that a baIl-valve mechanism was the cause of the recurrent hemiplegia.
