La formación de un absceso en el cuello es una complicación infrecuente de la artrodesis cervical anterior. Presentamos dos casos de abscesos prevertebrales que se manifestaron tres meses después de discectomia con injerto intersomático tipo Cloward.
Se revisa la literatura analizando la etiopatogenia, diagnóstico y tratamiento.
Abscess formation following cervical anterior fusion is a rare complication. Two cases of prevertebral abscess, which ocurred three months after discectomy with arthrodesis are presented.
The current Iiterature is reviewed and the etiology, pathogeny, diagnosis and treatment are discussed.
