Os autores apresentam um caso de urna Fistula Carótido-Cavernosa com proptose contralateral, num paciente de 74 anos, que havia sofrido um traumatismo cranio-encefálico cinco meses antes do aparecimento do quadro clínico.
Após estudo diagnóstico, com T.A.C. e Angiografia, foi feita a abordagem directa da fístula com regressao total do quadro clínico.
Efectuada pesquisa bibliográfica sobre casos semelhantes.
A case of Carotid-Cavernous Fistula with contralateral proptosis is reported, in a 74 year old man, who suffered a head trauma five months previously.
After CT scan and angiography, a direct obliteration of the cavernous sinus was performed, with good recovery and regression of the clinical signs.
