Se describe una técnica no invasiva para producir hipertermia en los tumores intracraneales mediante. Transferencia Eléctrica Capacitiva (TEC). Se presentan dos casos de glioblastoma multiorme tratados por TEC con estudio anatomopatológico y evolución clínica. Se revisa la literatura sobre los efectos de la hipertermia en las neoplasias.
A new, non-invasive technique for treating intracranial tumours by producing local hyperthermia is described. The procedure is called «Transferencia eléctrica capacitiva» (T.E.C.). Two cases of glioblastoma multiforme treated by TEC are reported with a description of the pathological findings and the clinical course.
The literature on the effects of hyperthermia on intracranial neoplasms is reviewed.
