Resumen

Se presenta un caso de quiste coloide en región rolándica que se considera una ubicación poco habitnal. Se insiste en el aspecto macroscópico de estas lesiones que es el que determina el diagnóstico. Se describe el aspecto de óvulo encontrado en el caso que presentamos y que hemos observado en dos de los cinco casos situados en el III ventrículo que hemos tenido ocasión de intervenir. Se revisan algunas de las teorías etiopatogénicas especialmente en relación a su posible identidad con los quistes neuroepiteliales.

Summary

The case of a patient with neuroepithelial (colloid) cyst in the rolandic area is presented. The macroscopic appearence of the lesion is carefully described and the theories regarding the origin of the lesion are reviewed.
