Summary

We present an investigation study, using autologous graft of frontal cortex in 70 rats, with different ages (newboro, adolescent and adult). In adults and adolescents we used the «Cavity technique» with one week between the cavity procedure and the implantation. In the newborn group we implanted in one time (extraction and implantation) from the left side to the right side.

After a survival period of 3 and 6 weeks the animals were sacrificed for morfological study (hematoxilineosine, Nissl and inmmunohystochemical techniques).

In adult and adolescent groups, we did not observe neuron survival, but we found sorne glial tissue in the cavity of the implantation. In the newboro group, we found in half of the cases neuronal ceIls from the host.
