Se ha utilizado la Resonancia Magnética para determinar la permeabilidad del agujero de ventriculostomía en un paciente con hidrocefalia no comunicante tratado mediante ventriculostomía del tercer ventrículo. Se propone este método como el más fiable y sencillo para el control postoperatorio de los pacientes tratados con esta técnica quirúrgica.
A case of noncommunicating hydrocephalus treated by ventriculostomy was studied postoperatively using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in order to confirm the permeability of the orifice performed in floor of the third ventricle. MRI seems to be the simplest and most reliable technique for the postoperative control of ventriculostomy.
