Resumen

El TCE leve es uno de los desórdenes neurológicos más comunes que se ven en los servicios de urgencia de los hospitales. Presentamos el caso de un paciente de 66 años de edad que sufrió un accidente de tráfico. Clínicamente tenía una puntuación de 15 en la Escala de Coma de Glasgow y la TC cerebral detectó las siguientes lesiones: fractura de base de cráneo, neumoencéfalo difuso, hematoma subdural frontotemporal, “swelling” hemisférico derecho, hemorragia subaracnoidea masiva, y desviación de línea media. El tratamiento fue conservador y la evolución del paciente fue satisfactoria.

Comentamos la incidencia de las lesiones intracraneales en el TCE leve, la evolución de las lesiones más relevantes, y enfatizamos el tratamiento.

Summary

Minor craneoencephalic trauma is one of the most common neurologic disorders seen at hospital urgency units. We report the clinical course in a 66 year old male who had suffered a traffic accident, presented a Glasgow Coma Score of 15 and in whom CT revealed a skullll base fracture, diffuse pneumoencephalus, subdural frontotemporal hematoma with right hemispheric swelling, massive subarachnoid hemorrhage and midline shift of the midle line. Conservative treatment was carried out and the patient recovered well.
